Amber & Bo are Married | Athens, GA Wedding Photography

2013 was an incredible year of growth for me and my photography, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the people who came into my life and the doors that opened. To close out a great year, I had the chance to photograph Amber & Bo’s beautiful winter wedding (all rain aside!). Amber & Bo have been together for forever and immediately welcomed me into their relationship with the opportunity to document the biggest day of their lives. Amber & Bo, a heartfelt thanks and congratulations to you two! Can’t wait to see what’s in store for your lives together!Amber & Bo Larkins Wedding21

Amber & Bo Wedding Sneak Peek

This past weekend I had the honor of photographing the beautiful wedding of Amber & Bo at Vintage Oaks Farms in Watkinsville. It may have rained all day, but you never would have known it with their awesome attitudes. The love that these two share is so evident and bold that a little rain was not going to put a damper on their day!

Here are a few of my favorites from the wedding day. More to come!

Amber & Bo, thank you so much for having me be a part of your big day! Can’t wait to see what is in store for your marriage!

More Weddings with Rustic White Photography

A while back I posted about working alongside Tiffany and Robert – the incredible duo behind Rustic White Photography. I’ve been so fortunate to join them at various weddings to second (aka third) shoot with them. Even more fortunate is that they have become incredible friends of mine (and just welcomed a precious little one into the world, who will affectionately know me as Aunt Lauren…)

I’m thrilled to share some of my favorite shots from the most recent weddings I’ve photographed with them! Now, I’m looking forward to an October full of wedding fun!

Oddly enough, this last wedding was of my friend from freshman year in college. The bride and I lived on the same hall, so you can imagine the excitement when I found out she was the beautiful bride for the day.

That right there is one of my hangers I’ve made. It’s such a treat to see the final product hanging with the gorgeous wedding dresses. It’s one of my favorite parts of creating the hangers, without a doubt.

The pure joy in this picture makes me smile. While I have no idea what they were giddy over on the phone, they sure were having fun.

The Perimeter Wedding Chapel has unbelievable stained glass. I was in a friend’s wedding a couple years ago there and fell in love with it then. It didn’t disappoint this time, either.

Overall, the experience with Tiffany and Robert has been an absolute blast and the weddings have been beautiful. I’ve been so thankful to have the chance to help document these couples’ special days.

And one more photo for fun… here is Tiffany’s baby belly peeking out from behind the curtains at one of the weddings. I always love a good behind-the-scenes shot. And now, that baby belly is no longer, and the most precious baby girl, Grace, has arrived!

A taste of second shooting with Rustic White Photography

Last time I posted, I was shooting skeet on a farm. Now, I’m posting about a different kind of shooting. Second shooting, that is. Recently, I’ve been spending a few Saturdays with the wonderfully awesome Rustic White Photography.

I met them at Chip’s childhood best friend’s wedding in December. After some e-mailing, we met for dinner, and I immediately felt so welcomed by the two. Tiffany and Robert are the duo behind RWP and become your best friends the instant you meet them. I’m honored to be able to learn from them and tag along to some weddings here and there.

Here is a little photo update of my time with them:

It’s been a ton of fun and a great experience. Looking forward to the next wedding with them! Can’t wait to share more!

Celebrating one year!

It’s hard to believe, but today marks 1-year since my sweet husband and I said I do. It was a beautiful day, and the memories from this past year are even sweeter. I am so thankful for the way he loves me, encourages me and challenges me every day.

We started out dancing…

And we’re still dancing today…

And we’ll be dancing until the very end! Here’s to many more years, sweet Chipper. I love you!

Saving the Date for the Future Andersons

I had two dear friends in high school. We each were involved in three totally different things, but ultimately had one common bond: Spanish class. We really only became great friends our senior year, but after so many Spanish projects complete with dessert breaks, friendships like that stick like glue.

In 2011, MR got married. In 2012, I got married. And in 2013, we’re marrying off the 3rd of our trio – Katie! We couldn’t be more excited! In fact, we even have thrown out the idea of all of us living in a triplex… maybe.

Lucky for me, I had the privilege of shooting engagement photos for Katie and her man, Scott in downtown Roswell, GA. It was a blast and a beautiful day. After editing, ooh-ing and ah-ing at how great this sweet couple looked, I had the chance to help Katie’s vision for a “Save the Date” come to life!

Yesterday, the postcard arrived in the mail and it was such fun! Not only is one of my best friends getting married, but I loved being able to see the final product come to life from photography to design to print. Now, I’m just ready for July to be here to celebrate my sweet friend!

But first, bridal shower and bachelorette planning ensues! Woo!

2012: The best year yet!

2012 has certainly been an incredible year! We feel so blessed by all of the amazing moments we had. To name a few: Chip and I got married, started our life together, adopted the sweetest pup and did so much more. I’m excited to close out the best year yet and ring in 2013! Check out some of my favorite moments of 2012:

Spent an incredible bachelorette weekend with these lovely ladies in Dahlonega.

And finally – at no particular time of the year: just doing life with these two. God has blessed me so fully with the best family in the world. Can’t wait to see what’s in store next year!

2012 Relax

Enjoy your New Year and cheers to an even better 2013!

What was your favorite moment of 2012?

Happy Anniversary!

Today marks the one-year anniversary of having our wonderful home! This time last year we packed the trucks and moved Chip in so he could get settled before our wedding in March.

We’ve been so blessed to have this house, and I’ve absolutely loved getting to decorate it and make it our own! It’s hard to believe we’ve already had it for a year! Here’s to more years in this home and many others!

And, speaking of anniversaries: Happy 1st Anniversary to two of our closest friends, Ryan and Peter! Ryan was no doubt the most beautiful bride and the wedding was amazing!:

I just love this season for so many reasons, anniversaries included! What is something you’re celebrating this month?

Gorgeous Athens Engagement Photos: Sydney + Tyler

This couple is so beautiful – inside and out! Sydney and Tyler were such fun to spend the afternoon with in Athens. Tyler actually lives in Memphis and had a long trip back home after our shoot, so he gets major credit for being such a great sport! It’s always fun to see couples really enjoying themselves, even when they know they have an 8 hour drive ahead of them!

They will be getting married in October of 2013, and I know it will be an incredible wedding. Until then, check out their gorgeous engagement photos! It was a beautiful day and the sunset at the end was absolutely amazing!

What kind of props do you love in engagement photos? It’s always fun to make them uniquely yours. I’d love to hear your ideas!

Athens Engagement Photos: Arielle & Chris

Every UGA fan has a bullet on their bucket list that reads something like:

  • Touch that gorgeous green grass in Sanford Stadium

Well, last weekend, I was about as close as possible to achieving that goal without actually being Between the Hedges. What I mean is that I had the chance to hang out with an awesome couple and shoot their engagement photos – football style. One stop we made was in Butts-Mehre, the Georgia Bulldawgs football facility. Let me just say, this place is amazing. Plus, it was awesome to be able to capture them having fun in their element!

Check out some of my favorite shots from the afternoon of the fabulous Chris and Arielle!

Aren’t these two gorgeous? Thanks so much to the future Mr. & Mrs. Burnette for an awesome day!

So, what is one item on your bucket list you’d like to cross off? I’d love to hear!
